A fire outbreak early this morning razed a departmental building at the School of Technology, Kano State Polytechnic.
The inferno reportedly engulfed the entire Arts and Industrial Department.
Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, spokesperson for the Kano State Fire Service, confirmed the incident but could not yet determine the cause of the fire.
He added that the extent of the damage is also unclear due to the ongoing investigation.
