Former ministerial nominee, Maryam Shettima, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalists in Kano, Shetty described Tinubu’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust party members and stakeholders have in his leadership.
“I congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. His victory is well-deserved and reflects the confidence reposed in him by party members and stakeholders,” she said.
She also congratulated Abba Kabir Yusuf and other APC candidates who emerged victorious during the party primaries held across the country.
According to her, their victories demonstrated the level of trust and support they enjoy within the ruling party.
Shetty further commended the APC National Working Committee, led by Nentawe Yilwatda, for what she described as purposeful leadership and for ensuring peaceful, transparent and successful primaries nationwide.
She said the smooth conduct of the exercise reflected the party’s growing strength and internal democracy.
“The peaceful conduct of the primaries clearly shows the growing strength, unity, and internal democracy within the APC,” she stated.
The former ministerial nominee expressed optimism that the ruling party would continue to grow stronger and remain committed to delivering good governance and sustainable development to Nigerians.
She also wished all APC candidates success ahead of the 2027 general elections.
