Hon. Musa Sani Adamu (Matawallen Dambatta), a former Dambatta local government chairmanship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of two former Kano local government chairmen — Abubakar Abdullahi Likita of Wudil and Mahmoud Sani Madakin Gini of Dala.
In a condolence message signed by Comrade Sunusi Tijjani Khalifa, former Education Secretary of Dambatta Local Government, Matawallen Dambatta extended his heartfelt prayers and sympathies to the families, friends, and political associates of the late politicians.
“The news of their passing on Monday came as a heavy blow to all of us in the progressive family,” the statement read. “The sudden death of Likita, who slumped during the funeral prayer of his close friend and political ally, is both painful and deeply symbolic — a final act of loyalty in a lifelong bond.”
Matawallen Dambatta praised both men for their dedication and service to their communities. “These were men who served their people with sincerity, courage, and commitment,” he said. “Their contributions to grassroots development and party unity remain etched in the political history of Kano State.”
Describing Abubakar Abdullahi Likita as a true grassroots politician, Matawallen said, “He earned the respect of his people through humility and open-door leadership. He was a listener and a unifier. His ability to connect with everyone, regardless of political differences, is something I personally admired.”
On Mahmoud Sani Madakin Gini, Matawallen Dambatta remarked, “Madakin Gini was a tireless mobilizer and a pillar of strength for the party in Dala. He had the rare ability to transform ideas into action, and his leadership will remain a reference point for young politicians.”
He concluded by offering prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljannatul Firdaus.
Matawallen Dambatta also encouraged the bereaved families to take solace in their faith and the enduring legacies left behind by the two departed leaders.
