Kano Youths Benefit from NDE’s Diverse Training in Youth Transformation Scheme

The federal government has reaffirmed its determination to train youths in various skills and traits with the aim of making them self-reliant.

Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, disclosed this during the opening ceremony for the orientation and life skills training for the second phase of youth transformation training held in Kano.

Represented by the Coordinator of the agency in Kano, Malam Abdulkareem Yahaya Sirika, he said the objectives of the training were to make the youths self-reliant and employers of labor.

He explained that youths would be trained in different skills, including GSM repairs, fashion design, hairdressing, autotronics, panel beating, photography, among others.

Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo urged the participants to make adequate use of the opportunity with the aim of achieving the stated goals.

In a remark, the Director of Vocational Skills Development, Mr. Isa Audu, represented by Malam Abdulkareem Hassan, said the training would go a long way in curbing the menace of unemployment.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammad Suleiman applauded the efforts of the federal government for providing them with the opportunity, adding that they would make adequate use of the opportunity.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the agency and participants.
