Senator Abbas hails Supreme Court judgement affirming Governor Fintiri

Senator Aminu Iya Abbas (Adamawa Central Senatorial District), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation, has congratulated Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on the Governorship Election Petition Supreme Court victory.

Senator Iya lauds the Supreme Court in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Ahmad Danyaro.

According to Senator Abbas, Governor Fintiri won the 2023 governorship election convincingly, saying that the judgement was an affirmation of the Adamawa mandate freely given to the governor during the election.

He said, “This judgement did not come as a surprise because the PDP won the governorship election convincingly, and today the apex court has spoken loud and clear. Our state now needs all of us to work together to deliver the dividends of democracy for the benefit of all.”

“I therefore call on all gubernatorial candidates in the 2023 election to accept the Supreme Court judgement and join hands with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to move Adamawa State to a greater height. I also call on the good people of Adamawa to continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’ administration in order to build a greater Adamawa State.” He said.
