The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano State Command announced that it secured 22 convictions in July 2024.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, these convictions represent a significant victory in the agency’s fight against illicit drug trafficking and abuse.
The command successfully arrested Abubakar Muazu and uncovered various illicit substances hidden by him. During the arrest, an NDLEA officer was stabbed. Despite the resistance, the officers managed to apprehend Muazu.
The statement highlighted that the NDLEA Kano State Command views this as a substantial achievement in its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
