As the Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship elections draw near in Plateau State, Muhammad Abdullahi Barau (Mabudin Kanam), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kanam Local Government Council, kicked off his campaign with a visit to the Bogghom Palace.
Mabudin Kanam, who is from the Tankwal political axis of Kanam, selected the Bogghom Palace as the starting point for his campaign, highlighting the strategic importance of the area in his plans.
During the visit, Elder Ado Kafel, Chairman of the APC Elders Forum, Tankwal axis, and leader of the campaign team, expressed gratitude to the Pankwal Bogghom for his support.
“We are deeply thankful for the endorsement of Mabudi’s candidacy by the leadership here. We seek your royal blessings as we embark on this journey,” Elder Kafel said.
In response, the Pankwal Bogghom, His Highness Alhaji Shehu Suleiman, acknowledged the significance of the campaign’s choice of venue.
“I am pleased that you have chosen Bogghom Palace as the starting point for your campaign. I assure you of my support where possible, and I pray for your success in the upcoming elections,” the traditional ruler stated.
The candidate was accompanied by key figures including Elder Ado Kafel, Hon. Ali Kass, Hon. Yahaya Ayuba, Hon. Bala Haruna (PA), Hon. Jacob Dashe, and Alhaji Awwal Ja’oji.
