Emir of Rano Turbans Adamu Abdul Mato, Others for Contributions to Emirate’s Development

The Emir of Rano, Alhaji Muhammad Isah Umaru (Autan Bawo), on Friday turbaned prominent sons of the emirate in recognition of their contributions to community development and service to humanity.

Among those honoured was Alhaji Adamu Abdul Mato, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AHAS Interbiz Projects Ltd, who was conferred with the traditional title of Gado Da Masun Rano and member of the emirate council.

Abdul Mato, who also chairs Eagle Global and General Merchant Ltd, AHAS Auto Contractors, and Impact Transglobal Services, has business interests in procurement, contracting, electrification, solar energy, and merchandise.

In his remarks, the Emir said the council carefully selected the honourees for their track record of service, dedication to community growth, and positive representation of the emirate.

“Today’s turbaning is not just an honour but also a call to responsibility — to serve with dignity and remain good ambassadors of the emirate,” he said.

Responding, Abdul Mato thanked the Emir for the recognition and pledged to uphold the trust bestowed on him.

“I am humbled by this honour. I will do my best to serve the emirate and justify the confidence reposed in me,” he said.

The ceremony, held at the Emir’s palace, attracted family members, dignitaries, and community leaders, who described the event as a reaffirmation of the emirate’s tradition of rewarding individuals for their social, economic, and cultural contributions to Rano and Kano State at large.
