KNSG inaugurates task force on illegal structures, assets recovery

The Kano State Government (KNSG), has inaugurated a task force Committee on Illegal structures and assets recovery.

Inaugurating the committee, the Managing Director, of Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), Architect Ibrahim Yakub Adamu pointed out that, the committee was in line with the present administration’s commitment, to making Kano number one in terms of town planning.

In a statement signed by the public relations officer KNUPDA Bahijja Malam Kabara and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

He, decried over the proliferation of unregistered private layouts being carved out and sold without KNUPDA’s approval, warning that, the state government would take appropriate legal action against violators.

Alhaji Junaid Abdullah was appointed as the chairman of the committee, while members Include all directors and representatives of private layout companies.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, Junaid Abdullahi expressed their readiness to work tirelessly to achieve the desired goals.

The chairman also urged the public to always contact ward heads, district heads and other stakeholders before purchasing land and properties.

The committee visited Yankatsari in Dawakin Kudu LGA, Kumbotso, Gezawa and Nassarawa LGAs, on fact-finding regarding some government properties.
