PDP plans a strong comeback in 2027 – Umar Damagum

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has assured party members of a strong comeback in the 2027 elections. Damagum delivered this promise during a reception ceremony in Umuahia, marking the 76th birthday of Adolphus Wabara, the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees.

Addressing attendees, Damagum emphasized the party’s commitment to reclaiming governmental control in the next election cycle. “With what we are doing, we will come back sound, healthy, and victorious,” he declared, urging party members to remain resilient in the face of challenges as they strive towards victory.

The event also featured remarks from key figures in the PDP. Peter Mba, the Governor of Enugu State and chief host of the occasion, lauded Wabara for his leadership during the party’s “glorious days” and expressed hope that Wabara’s experience would contribute to the party’s revival.

Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State and chairman of the event, celebrated Wabara as a significant figure from Abia State who has greatly contributed to the PDP.

Makinde voiced his optimism for the party’s future, saying, “In the next political dispensation, PDP will give birth to the next government in Nigeria.” He also highlighted the importance of the South East zone to Nigeria and encouraged its people to remain hopeful despite current difficulties.
