Kannywood actress, Hadiza Aliyu, known as Hadiza Gabon has advised women against pursuing careers in the industry.
In a recent interview on her YouTube talk show, Gabon argued that the disadvantages for women in Kannywood outweigh the potential benefits.
During the interview, Gabon addressed her guest, Kannywood actress Surayya Aminu (known as Rayya), stating, “If a woman comes to me and expresses her desire to join Kannywood, I’d recommend she reconsider. If she’s determined, I’d wish her well, but honestly, a woman is better off focusing on her education, pursuing a career, and eventually settling down in marriage.”
