Sokoto Labour Party Hails Senator Nenadi Usman’s Leadership Appointment

The Sokoto State Stakeholders of the Labour Party (LP) and the Obedient Movement in the state and Northern region have announced their congratulations to Senator Nenadi Esther Usman on her appointment as the Interim Chairperson of the Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party.

Senator Nenadi became the party leader on September 4, 2024, during the NEC/Extended Stakeholders Meeting held in Umuahia, hosted by Alex Oti and Peter Obi.

Chief Ifeanyi Ezeagu, leader of the Sokoto State Labour & Obedient Movement, along with Governorship Candidate Comrade Aminu Umar and other stakeholders, welcomed Senator Nenadi’s selection. They expressed trust in her leadership abilities.

Speaking for the party stakeholders, Comrade Abubakar Yawale acknowledged the National Executive Council for selecting Senator Nenadi. He expressed hope that her leadership would guide the party in upcoming elections.

The leadership also recognized Dr. Yunusa Tanko’s appointment as the National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement worldwide, noting his role in the movement’s growth.

“On behalf of the Labour Party stakeholders in Sokoto State and the Obedient Movement members, we extend our congratulations to Senator Nenadi Usman on her appointment. We also acknowledge Dr. Yunusa Tanko in his role as National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement worldwide.

“We offer our support to the new leadership and commit to working towards the party’s objectives.

“As we approach the National Convention, we remain committed to your leadership and look forward to a reformed Labour Party.

“We wish you success in your leadership roles and look forward to contributing to the growth of both the party and the nation,” he said.

Comrade Yawale also recognized Mr. Ifeanyi Ezeagu for his ongoing support of the party’s activities across Sokoto State and the Northern region. He urged all party members to stay dedicated and work with the new leadership to achieve progress.
