Nile University Celebrates Aisha Kwankwaso as Best Medical Graduate

Aisha Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, daughter of former Kano State Governor Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has been named the best graduating student from the Faculty of Medicine at Nile University of Nigeria.

She was among 37 medical graduates inducted during the institution’s 3rd Medical Attestation Ceremony on December 2, 2024.

Aisha graduated with five distinctions, the highest in her cohort. Two other graduates, Umemmuo Francis Odira and Muutasim Muhammad Zayyan, earned four distinctions each. The three received scholarships for postgraduate studies at Nile University of Nigeria.

Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dilli Dogo FNAMed, said, “Today, we celebrate not just academic excellence but also the resilience and commitment of these young doctors. Nile University remains steadfast in its mission to produce skilled and ethical healthcare professionals who will transform society.”

All graduating doctors received medical practice tools.

Aisha Kwankwaso described her achievement as a collective effort, stating, “This is a milestone I could not have achieved alone. The guidance from my mentors and the encouragement from my family have been pivotal.”

Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso highlighted his daughter’s distinctions in Human Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Paediatrics, and Community Medicine, adding, “She was honoured for this feat at the attestation ceremony organised by the university.”

He also congratulated Aisha, her husband Fahad, and her fellow graduates, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
