Rurum Hails Tinubu for Boosting Education with New Polytechnic in Rano

The Member Representing Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the Federal Polytechnic, Rano.

In a statement signed by the federal lawmaker and made available to newsmen in Kano, Rurum stated that the signing of this bill marks a significant milestone in the educational and economic development of Kano South and the state at large.

“I am deeply honored and immensely grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his leadership and commitment to education in Nigeria,” Rurum said.

“The signing of this bill into law marks a significant milestone in the educational and economic development of Rano, Kano State, and the entire nation,” the statement read.

Rurum acknowledged the roles of several political figures in the passage of the bill. “My profound appreciation goes to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his support and legislative guidance,” he said.

He also recognized the contributions of the Deputy Senate President, Senator (Dr.) Barau Ibrahim Jibrin, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajuddeen Abbas.

“I must also commend the Honorable Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajuddeen Abbas, for his leadership and efforts in strengthening Nigeria’s legislative process,” he added.

Rurum also mentioned Senator Suleiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila and Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the 9th Assembly, for their support.

“This institution will not only bridge the gap in technical education but will also serve as a hub for skill development, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” Rurum said, emphasizing the Polytechnic’s role in youth empowerment.

He pledged to make every effort to ensure the institution’s smooth takeoff and long-term success.
