Tinubu Orders Military to End Banditry, Insecurity by 2025

President Bola Tinubu has directed the military to eliminate banditry and all forms of insecurity across Nigeria by the end of 2025.

This directive was revealed by the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, in a viral video, where he assured that the military would sustain its offensive against criminal elements.

Badaru emphasized that bandits are currently on the run, and security forces will not relent until they are completely neutralized.

“The bandits are now on the run, but the military will not rest until we bring an end to this menace. The president has given us a clear mandate to eradicate insecurity across the country by year-end,” Badaru stated.

He further noted that the Chief of Defence Staff and the National Security Adviser (NSA) are working tirelessly to achieve the objective, intensifying pressure on all operational fronts.

Badaru also disclosed that mining activities in Zamfara have resumed, following improved security conditions, as part of broader efforts to stabilize affected regions.
