Ibrahim Little picks Kano ADC governorship nomination form

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Amin Little, has purchased the party’s governorship nomination form at its national headquarters in Abuja, becoming the first governorship aspirant in the country to obtain the form ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Little, a former chairman of the All Peoples Party (APP) in Kano State, expressed confidence in securing victory at both the party’s primaries and the general election.

Speaking with journalists shortly after obtaining the nomination form, the ADC governorship hopeful said his decision to contest was driven by the need to rescue Kano State from what he described as incompetent leadership and to build a modern, prosperous, and people-oriented state.

“My interest is the people of Kano. We must ensure the total eradication of political thuggery, strengthen social welfare, and prioritise poverty eradication, alongside the provision of basic amenities, quality education, functional hospitals, and adequate water supply. These are the issues that concern me most,” he said.

The aspirant further stated that his administration, if elected, would focus on agriculture, youth empowerment, industrial revival, and economic development across the state.

“I will boost farming in Kano and create opportunities for our teeming youths. We will ensure the revival of our industries to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and restore Kano’s position as the commercial hub of Northern Nigeria,” he added.

Little assured party supporters and residents of Kano State that his ambition is anchored on competence, inclusiveness, and a genuine commitment to public service, expressing optimism that the ADC would present a credible alternative to the electorate in the 2027 general elections.
