Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced that President Bola Tinubu is expected to make a final decision on the new minimum wage this Thursday.
Idris stated that the President will meet with organized labor on Thursday to determine the amount that will be submitted to the National Assembly.
He added that the Federal Executive Council has deliberated on the national minimum wage and plans to engage with organized labor this week.
According to Idris, the President supports increasing the minimum wage but is cautious about triggering significant inflation.
