Nigeria’s national power grid has collapsed once again, marking the tenth breakdown this year. The incident comes as several regions across the country continue to face prolonged outages caused by recent vandalism of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) towers.
According to data from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal, the grid dropped from 2,771.84 megawatts (MW) to zero MW at 2:09 pm today, cutting off power supply nationwide.
