The Basic Mass Communication Old Students Association (BMCOSA) has announced its new acting leadership committee, tasked with fostering unity, encouraging lifelong learning, and supporting the professional development of its members.
BMCOSA made this announcement today, Monday, in a statement signed by Aminu Garba Indabawa, Public Relations Officer I, and made available to newsmen in Kano.
According to the statement, the new acting leadership team comprises Isma’ila Ammai Mai Zare as Chairman, Bashir Habib Yahya as Deputy Chairman, Khalifa Shehu Dokaji as Secretary, and Halima Wada Sinkin as Assistant Secretary.
Other appointed officials include Fatihu Isa Abdullahi (Treasurer), Aminu Garba Indabawa (Public Relations Officer I), Kawu Muhammad (Public Relations Officer II), Sadik Gawuna Garba (Organizing Secretary I), Farida Haruna Isma’il (Organizing Secretary II), Rabiu Salisu (Academic/Professional Development Officer I), Musbahu Uba (Academic/Professional Development Officer II), Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu (Director Finance I), Khadija Isa Bala (Deputy Director Finance), Suleiman Ramat (Legal Adviser I), Balarabe Muhammad Tela (Legal Adviser II), Musbahu Bala Chediya (Auditor I), Suwaiba Muhammad (Auditor II), Maryam Aliyu (Welfare Director I), Dalal Musa (Welfare Director II), and Bashir Salisu Sheshe (Guidance and Counseling Officer).
In his remarks, the Chairman of BMCOSA, Isma’il Ammai Mai Zare, said the organization’s strength lies in members’ unity. By working together and supporting one another, they can achieve great things for the association and the field of mass communication as a whole.
According to him, “It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant community of mass communication experts. Together, we will build on our solid foundation and take BMCOSA to new heights through collaboration, innovation, and dedication to lifelong learning.”
The new leadership committee plans to launch initiatives focused on providing ongoing training, networking opportunities, and member support. These initiatives will include collaborating with industry leaders, academic institutions, and other professional associations to enhance the experiences and skills of BMCOSA members.
The association invites all members, media practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of mass communication to join and support the new leadership committee as they embark on this new chapter.
