NDLEA Calls for Collective Action Against Drug Abuse in Katsina

The Katsina Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has emphasized the need for a united front in tackling drug abuse in the state.

Speaking on Thursday during a sensitization and advocacy program for women and youth on drug abuse awareness and prevention, the NDLEA Commander in Katsina, Muhammad Aminu-Abubakar, urged residents to actively support efforts to curb drug trafficking and abuse.

Aminu-Abubakar stressed that addressing the menace requires a collaborative effort involving all stakeholders.

“All hands must be on deck to fight this menace. Combating drug trafficking and abuse demands commitment from families, communities, religious groups, and traditional leaders,” he said.

He also called on the Katsina State Government to continue supporting the agency in its mission to eliminate drug abuse and trafficking in the region.
